I am a 50-year old wife, mom, business owner, executive coach and GUF enthusiast. I met Irene through ambassador Kelly Key in July of 2020 after eating and drinking my way through quarantine. Kelly and I have been best friends and weight loss buddies for years.
I had been successful losing weight on other programs but was never able to keep it off. I was the master of working those systems to my advantage. (Yes, you can eat carrots and celery every day for lunch and save your calories or points for a glass (or 3) of wine. But you shouldn’t.) I lost the weight, but was starving, crabby and had completely screwed up my metabolism.
Irene and GUF taught me the basics and gave me a foundation for a healthy lifestyle. I learned how to eat the right foods in the right combinations at the right times. I have a gluten sensitivity, and stopped eating bread and most carbs as a result. I learned that instead eliminating carbs, I needed to incorporate complex carbs that work with my body. Now I eat (gf) bread (pizza and even muffins) every day.
Because of Irene and GUF, I lost 20 lbs, and still enjoy a very active social life. I eat 4-5 meals a day, and most days, I still have plenty of room for that wine. My journey hasn’t been perfect, but I have learned so much and have maintained my weight loss for over a year. What I love is that GUF is not a diet. It’s real (delicious, family approved) food, fun workouts, ongoing education, and real people who support you every step of the way.
Trust the process, face the warden, and celebrate your resume of failures. They all get you closer to the you that you are meant to be.
