Protein Packed Buffalo Chicken Dip

Elevate your Super Bowl spread with a protein-packed Buffalo Chicken Dip that's both delicious and nutritious. Traditional Buffalo Chicken Dip is a game-day favorite, but by incorporating high-protein ingredients like Greek yogurt and cottage cheese, you can enjoy a lighter version without compromising on flavor. This healthier twist not only boosts protein content but also reduces calories and fat, making it a guilt-free indulgence. Serve it with fresh veggies or whole-grain crackers for a satisfying snack that will keep your energy up throughout the game.


Ingredients

 

  • 2 cups shredded chicken breast

  • 1 cup blended cottage cheese

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, I used 2%

  • ½ cup Buffalo wing's sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • black pepper, to taste

  • ½ cup sliced green onions, divided

  • 1/2cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, more for topping if desired



Directions

 

  1. Position your oven rack to the middle and pre-heat to 350 F (see notes for microwave instructions).

  2. Add chicken, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, Buffalo sauce, garlic, black pepper, ⅓ cup green onions, and shredded cheese to a large mixing bowl. Mix until well combined.

  3. Transfer Buffalo chicken dip to your baking pan. Use a spatula or large spoon to gently press and flatten your dip.

  4. Top with more shredded cheddar cheese if desired.

  5. Bake for 22-27 minutes or until cheese is melted and brown

  6. Serves 6 or enjoy as an appetizer.
