Protein-Packed Bread Rolls

Protein-Packed Bread Rolls: Versatile and Delicious!


Looking for a high-protein alternative to regular bread? These protein bread rolls are a game-changer! Soft, fluffy, and nutrient-rich, they’re perfect for making a hearty sandwich or serving as a bun for your favorite burger. Whether you're fueling up after a workout or just craving a wholesome meal, these rolls are here to keep you satisfied and on track.


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups almond flour (any flour works) 

  • 1 cup cottage cheese 

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 

  • 1 teaspoon salt 



Directions:

  1.  Preheat oven to 350

  2. Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl until well mixed.  Add a tablespoon of water if mixture is too dry. You will see the cottage cheese clumps which will melt when heated. 

  3. Kneed the dough on a floured surface and roll into 4 pieces. 

  4. Roll each piece into a ball and press each ball down to shape into a bagel form. 

  5. Using your finger, make a bagel hole in the center of each piece.  Manipulate the dough to perfect each bagel. 

  6. In a separate bowl, scramble the egg for the egg wash. Brush with egg wash and seeds as an optional step (I didn't add seeds in photo but you can see the egg wash gives these rolls a nice finish).

  7. Bake for 25-28 minutes or until golden brown. 


Enjoy as your healthy carb and protein for a meal.
