Introducing our high-protein chia chocolate pudding—a decadent dessert that not only satisfies your sweet tooth but also fuels your body with quality protein. This versatile recipe allows you to choose between whey and casein protein powder.
Whey protein is quickly absorbed, making it a great option for post-workout recovery, while casein digests slowly, providing a steady release of amino acids that's ideal for a nighttime treat.
Additionally, the chia seeds in this pudding lend a unique, gel-like texture that enhances the overall mouthfeel; however, if you prefer a smoother consistency, feel free to omit them without sacrificing the protein-packed goodness of this dish.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup casein chocolate protein powder
1/4 cup chia seeds
Pinch of salt
1 cup of water
2 tablespoons peanut butter

Directions:
In a medium bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of chia seeds, 2 tablespoons peanut butter, 1/2 cup protein powder, and a small pinch of salt.
Slowly add 1 cup of water while stirring. This helps to keep the mixture smooth. Make sure everything is well combined.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid.
Place the bowl in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight. This allows the chia seeds to absorb the liquid and thicken into a pudding-like consistency.
Stir the pudding again before serving to make sure there are no clumps.
You can serve it as is or top with fresh fruit, nuts, or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
