Identifying stress
METABOLIC CHAOS SCORE
Your MC SCORE will be the total number we gather from hidden stressors that contribute to the breakdown of the metabolism. We can improve the function of a poorly operating metabolism, by identifying any stressors and removing them.

Stress and the impact that it has on your body is the main contributor to metabolic dysfunction or chaos. Stress can come from many sources but it's not what you think... I'm not talking about the stress we deal with in our daily chaotic lives. Planning weddings, having babies, turmoil on our bodies, no sleep kind of stress.
Stress impacts the productivity or functionality of the body in each of the following areas. Please read what these H.I.D.D.E.N Stressors are and follow the instructions in giving yourself a score for each line item.
By the end of this activity, you should have your MC SCORE (totals for each of the below sections and a total sum - see table at the bottom of this document).
H.I.D.D.E.N Stressors
Give yourself a score from 0-5 with 5 being the most severe. Total your score for each section and add your numbers to your MC Score at the bottom of this document.
1. Hormone Production
This is how well is the body making and distributing key chemicals that regulate and report on the thousands of essential processes happening every second. This includes both our cortisol and DHEA hormone balance which impacts our sex hormone production and will impact our Estrogen, Estriol, Progesterone, Testosterone, and Melatonin.
0-5 with 5 being the highest.
Your overall stress levels. How stressed are you currently in life?
Your energy levels during the day.. Do you hit any walls?
Overall quality of sleep. Do you have issues falling or staying asleep? Do have insomnia? Do you wake up between 1-3am often unable to fall back asleep?
Mood issues. Do you have mood swings? Do you get sad or depressed easily?
Do you have issues losing or gaining weight? Do you get bloated or retain water?
Total points possible 25.

2. Immune System
Our immune system plays an important role in keeping infections and bacteria from invading our systems and making us sick. Stress can impact the way our immune system is able to distinguish friend from foe and how effectively can it neutralize threats. A weak immune system is an indication of a hidden stressor that will inhibit your metabolism from functioning properly and eventually will lead to autoimmune diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Chrones, Colitis, and more.
0-5 with 5 being the highest. Your score should be based on how you compare to others.
How quickly do you heal from a cut?
How soon are you able to get over an illness?
How often do you get sick?
Do you have any joint pain.? Daily? Chronic? Severe?
Do you have other inflammation issues? This could include inflammation in the gut with stomach issues.
Total points possible 25.

3. Digestive System
Our digestive system is very complex. It runs from "cheek to cheek" as you can see from the image below. It is not just our GUT as most people think. Here, we will determine how well is the body able to tolerate food and how effectively does it break down food and absorb nutrition?
0-5 with 5 being the highest. Your score should be based on how you compare to others.
How do you feel after you eat? Do you experience any pain or discomfort anywhere from "cheek to cheek? This includes gas, bloating, cramping, acid reflux, belching, etc.
How would you score the quality of your overall diet (not just how you are eating this week). Give yourself a 5 if you feel that your diet is very poor. High in fat, starch, sugar, salt, preservatives, and additives. A zero would indicate a healthy diet with all food groups represented, low in transfats and sugars.
Rate your sugar cravings. If you crave sugar after a meal but at no other time but it is consistent, give yourself a 5.
Do you have any specific food intolerances or suspect that you may, based on reactions after eating?
How well are you able to stay full or satiated in between meals? Scores of 4-5 would indicate that you get hungry all the time and have issues with satiety with certain foods or food combinations.
Total points possible 25.
