INGREDIENTS:
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
1/3 cup + 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
1/4 cup ground flaxseed
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate (or chocolate chips)
1/2 cup natural almond butter
1/3 cup raw honey or agave
2 tbsp coconut oil
1/3 cup almonds, crushed
1-2 tbsp water (optional- as needed)
DIRECTIONS:
Mix oats, cacao powder, 1/3 cup coconut, flaxseed, chia seeds, chocolate chips, and chocolate protein powder together in a bowl.
In a saucepan, melt almond butter, honey, and coconut oil together and pour over dry mixture. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine 1/4 cup coconut and almond together and set aside for outer coating (step 6).
Divide mixture into 4 equal portions. to help with Making equal sized bites. Each portion should make 5 balls for a total of 20.
Form balls with the oat mixture. Add water if mixture doesn't form into ball.
Roll in remaining coconut flakes and almonds (step 3) for an outer coating. Store in fridge!
Make into 20 balls
